Frankies Bikinis started as a swimwear brand on the beaches of California and has since become one of fashion’s most agile and buzz-worthy lifestyle brands. Known for bold styles, fast-moving trends and high-profile collaborations, Frankies has expanded from solely designing swimwear to launching complex, multi-category collections at scale. Centric PLM™ has been there through every step.
Since implementing Centric PLM in 2020, Frankies Bikinis has transformed how it designs, develops and delivers products. Before PLM, product development relied on spreadsheets and manual ways of working that limited visibility and led to frequent errors. Fast forward to today and Centric PLM supports every piece of the business from custom trims and detailed BOMs to assortments that now include dresses, fully fashioned knits and accessories.
“Centric PLM has completely changed the way we work,” says Andy, Director of Design and Development. “We move fast, we change things constantly and Centric PLM gives us the flexibility to grow without losing track of anything.”
Product launches happen faster. Swim collections have grown 15 percent season over season. Apparel, once a tiny fraction of the assortment, now makes up half. Production errors, which used to be common, are almost nonexistent. Product development, which took two roles, is now streamlined into one. The difference is measurable.
Frankies Bikinis also uses Centric PLM to power its most demanding collaborations. With Bella Hadid, the team managed custom hardware, unique swim fabrics and color approvals for every style, all tracked through Centric PLM. For the ongoing Victoria’s Secret PINK line, Frankies mirrors its workflow in the system, enabling seamless collaboration between brands.
“Every style is different,” Andy says. “Centric PLM lets us track every nuance from trims to costing to curve sizing and build reports that anyone can use, instantly.”
As Frankies continues to expand into new categories and open permanent retail stores, the next step is to get all teams working in the system like the technical design team. With grading, fit tracking and pattern visibility integrated into Centric PLM, the brand expects even greater gains in speed and efficiency.
