“As we evolved, it became clear that spreadsheets and emails were no longer enough. We needed a stronger system to connect our teams, centralize product data and give us more visibility across development.”

Courtney Green, Co-founder and co-owner of Made in Mediterraneo and Production Manager of Journelle explains how teams needed a way to move faster while maintaining accuracy across styles, materials and seasonal collections. With Centric PLM™, product data became easier to manage and even more accurate to trust by creating a centralized platform that brings teams and product information together in real time.

A business built on detail, fit and collaboration

Founded in 2007, Journelle operates across retail, wholesale and product development, combining its own collections with a curated assortment of third-party brands. The company manages multiple product categories, including lingerie, sleepwear, loungewear and swimwear, creating a layered product environment that requires close coordination across design, development and sourcing teams working between the US and Europe.

Disconnected systems limited visibility

Before Centric PLM, product development relied on spreadsheets and email threads. Information lived in multiple places, making it difficult to maintain a consistent view of the product. Teams managed through the fragmentation, but only with constant manual coordination and repeated data validation.

Journelle had tried another PLM solution before Centric PLM, but found it difficult to adapt the system to the way they developed products. With teams working across regions, the company needed a solution to connect everyone to the same real-time product information to make accurate and faster decisions.

As the business scaled, so did the volume and complexity of materials and costing data. Managing multiple brands, onboarding historical styles and aligning across regions required more than disconnected tools. Journelle recognized the need to strengthen its foundation and bring greater clarity to a growing assortment.

A platform built for complexity

Journelle searched for a system that handles the unique demands of the intimates category. Detailed construction, multiple components and precise sizing require a high level of organization. “Intimates is a very complex category, with many components, detailed fit requirements and a wide size range, so we needed a PLM that could handle that complexity,” says Green.

Bringing product data into focus

Centric PLM provides the structure to manage details from multi-component BOMs to handling detailed size runs and material variations while remaining flexible enough for teams to adopt and use effectively. By centralizing product data, the platform enables Journelle to maintain consistency across styles while adapting to evolving business goals. That alignment has been critical, as Green explains,

That depth of category understanding made a real difference for us. Having a solution that aligns with how our teams and partners actually work became a game changer.”

From the start, Centric PLM brought key details together in one place, making it easier to communicate and keep development moving.

Journelle transformed how collections are organized, reviewed and brought to market. Instead of piecing together information from multiple sources, teams now work from a single, unified view “Centric PLM saves us a great deal of time in organizing collections,” says Green. “We plan upcoming seasons, manage colors and keep key materials and costing data in one place.”

Green goes on to explain, “Bringing historical product references into Centric PLM gives us much better visibility. We quickly review what exists, compare options and decide what to move forward with.” Green also points to the digitized Pantone materials library as a simple but valuable addition, “Even something as simple as having our Pantone library digitized in Centric PLM has become a real time saver. The team is able to access the information they need immediately instead of chasing it down.”

Driving accuracy and collaboration

“We’re leveraging PLM not just for one brand, but across multiple brands,” explains Green. That shift made data clarity critical. Every style, color and material needed to be accessible, accurate and consistent. Journelle needed more than digitized information, it needed a single source of truth that kept pace with a growing assortment across multiple brands.

“Because our team wears so many hats, it’s incredibly important to be able to cross-check information, stay aligned and move forward with confidence. Centric PLM has been extremely powerful in that way,” says Green.

The platform enables Journelle to validate data across systems, improve data accuracy and reduce the risk of costly errors Green adds, “Centric PLM gives us better control over our data. We now cross-check information across systems in a way that simply wasn’t possible before.” For a lean team, added control matters. “We’re a small team spread across different locations, so it’s essential for us to have one platform that keeps everyone aligned and makes collaboration easier.”

A foundation for growth

Journelle moved quickly from implementation to adoption, establishing a scalable platform that drives current operations and future expansion. “The implementation moved quickly,” says Green. “We were able to get Centric PLM live in about 14 weeks, a significant shift from previous attempts that failed to go live.”

With a foundation in place, the team continues to deepen its use of PLM, identifying new ways to streamline workflows and strengthen control across the business. “There’s so much that Centric PLM does, one thing we appreciate is the more we use it, the more light bulbs go off and we see opportunities to drive value.” The team is also reaching the point where products move forward without relying on Excel sheets. As Green puts it, “The beauty of Centric PLM is just how much it does. It gives us a strong platform today, while also giving us room to expand.”

Looking ahead

As Journelle continues to expand across brands and categories, Centric PLM provides a scalable foundation for growth. With connected product data, improved visibility the team is better equipped to move faster, make informed decisions and maintain consistency across every stage of the product development lifecycle. “Am I confident that we will get to where we need to be with Centric? 100%,” states Green. That confidence reflects both the solution and the partnership behind it, as Green continues, “I couldn’t speak more highly of the team we’ve worked with at Centric. They’ve been top notch.”
