Chinese outdoor apparel supplier transitions to data-driven operations across 14 global facilities
CAMPBELL, Calif., January 20, 2026 – Centric Software® is pleased to announce that FashionFlying Group, a leading manufacturer and supplier of functional outdoor apparel, has selected Centric PLM™ to build an enterprise-level digital foundation for product development. Centric Software delivers innovative, integrated, end-to-end AI-powered enterprise solutions to take products from concept to commercialization. Fashion, luxury, footwear, outdoor, home, cosmetics & personal care as well as multi-category retail teams can plan, design, develop, source, comply, buy, make, price, allocate, assort, sell and replenish products to achieve strategic and operational digital transformation goals.
Over the past two decades, FashionFlying Group has grown into a trusted name in functional outdoor and professional wear. The company has built a strong manufacturing footprint in China, expanded to fourteen factories worldwide with a portfolio spanning hardshells, skiwear and specialized protective gear supplied to brands and retailers in more than twenty countries. Today, FashionFlying Group supports a mix of OEM, ODM and its own brand business, with products reaching consumers through international retail partners and global distribution channels.
As FashionFlying Group expanded its product range and global operations, the company recognized an opportunity to enhance how teams worked together. With information spread across scattered spreadsheets and processes that relied heavily on manual knowledge, data became siloed over time. Streamlining workflows and unifying product information became a natural step in supporting faster growth and increasingly complex product requirements.
The group began evaluating potential strategies by visiting apparel companies further along in their modernization journeys. “In the past two years, we’ve visited several companies already ahead in their digital transformation and it became clear we needed to streamline our own,” explains Ke Hong, Vice President at FashionFlying Group. What emerged was the need for a centralized platform that could serve as a foundation for product data, connect previously fragmented systems and provide real-time visibility from concept to commercialization.
“PLM is the foundation. It’s where all master product data lives and once we integrate it with procurement, production and sales systems, we achieve true data synchronization and end-to-end visibility from R&D through to sales,” Ke adds. “With this project launch, I expect FashionFlying to transition to data-driven operations, making our supply chain more transparent, production more efficient and decision-making more scientific.”
During the solution evaluation phase, the group sought a system that was intuitive, scalable and capable of supporting the complexity and pace of a multi-factory, multi-business model organization. Centric PLM resonated immediately. “Centric PLM’s design philosophy is truly elegant. I was captivated the moment I saw it,” highlights Ke. “Among its peers in this software space, I believe it has no rivals.”
By establishing common data standards and connecting workflows from initial concept through pre-production, the platform will enable different teams, whether working on OEM manufacturing, ODM development or the 33,000 Feet brand, to collaborate from the same source of truth. This shared visibility will reduce friction across departments and help accelerate time to market.
“I hope the successful implementation of our PLM project will enable FashionFlying Group to achieve breakthroughs in capacity balancing, product innovation and supply chain collaboration,” adds Wang Lianglin, Assistant to the President at FashionFlying Group. “This will further enhance our operational efficiency and strengthen our core competitiveness.”
At the project kickoff, FashionFlying Group President Chen Geng made clear this wasn’t an IT project, but an organizational evolution. “We’re just beginning and our objectives are very clear. Moving forward, I hope both teams work hand-in-hand to advance this step by step, implement it fully and continuously refine it.”
“We’re honored to partner with FashionFlying Group to co-build their digital foundation platform,” says Fabrice Canonge, CEO of Centric Software. “FashionFlying Group brings deep manufacturing expertise in functional apparel and a global perspective. We look forward to working alongside the team at the group to advance implementation, helping them achieve higher levels of collaboration and innovation while unlocking the long-term value of digital transformation.”
