Alternative jewelry brand chooses Centric Software® PLM to streamline processes
CAMPBELL, Calif., November 18, 2021 – Ask and Embla, the alternative jewelry brand, has selected Centric Software’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution. Centric Software provides the most innovative enterprise solutions to plan, design, develop, source and sell products such as apparel, footwear, sporting goods, furniture, home décor, cosmetics, food & beverage and luxury to achieve strategic and operational digital transformation goals.
Founded in 2013, Ask and Embla is an alternative jewelry brand that embraces and brings together a community of individuals of all alternative styles and modalities. Headquartered in Singapore, the growing company also has remote teams in the Philippines, Hong Kong, Australia, Sweden, and Ukraine and proudly works with a large radius of dynamic and diverse individuals.
As the company grew and product lines expanded, Ask and Embla struggled to keep track of product data and development timelines. Suppliers were also missing timelines and quality standards.
Ryan Gomes, Managing Director at Ask and Embla says, “Keeping track of developments was challenging as there are different timelines based on the type of product or material we’re developing. We needed to ensure that our processes were consistent and that we could keep track of all product development information in one place.”
“As a young team just starting out our internal product development processes, we needed to hone the collective experience in best-practice processes from the top companies in the world.”
Ask and Embla selected Centric PLM to reliably track product development and supplier information in one digital hub. The company will be able to easily follow up on developments, gain better visibility of the critical path, drastically improve information management as well as speed up product creation and ensure suppliers are meeting the correct standards and deadlines.
“Centric PLM will ease administrative stress and the stress of not having information about product developments available when we need it. It will also provide a quick way to onboard new team members to our processes,” explains Gomes.
Centric PLM appealed to Ask and Embla as teams felt familiar with the spreadsheet-like interface. “The features matched many of the features we were trying to develop on spreadsheets. We were confident we could onboard teams quickly,” adds Gomes.
“We are delighted to partner with Ask and Embla,” says Chris Groves, President and CEO of Centric Software. “We look forward to working closely with their diverse and growing teams to equip them with the digital tools they need to drive development, efficiency and growth.”
