CAMPBELL, Calif., 18 December, 2018 – Adolfo Dominguez, the Spanish fashion brand, has selected Centric Software’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution. Centric Software provides the most innovative enterprise solutions to fashion, retail, footwear, outdoor, luxury and consumer goods companies to achieve strategic and operational digital transformation goals.
Named after its founder Adolfo Domínguez Fernández, the company is known for its innovation in fashion. The brand broke conventions in the 1980s with the slogan ‘the wrinkle is beautiful’, transforming the aesthetics of Spanish dress. Offering refined yet casual apparel in stores in Spain and beyond as well as online, Adolfo Dominguez designs, produces and distributes prêt-à-porter clothing and accessories for men and women as well as lines of eyewear and perfumes produced and distributed under license. In 2014, Adolfo Domínguez Fernández won Spain’s National Designer Prize.
“We are renewing our production process and within this renewal we want to be able to review the way in which we develop and distribute products, optimizing each step of the way,” explains Angela García de la Lastra, Product Director at Adolfo Dominguez. “The fundamental reason for implementing PLM is to have a single tool that will fully handle our operations, allowing us to leverage knowledge at both a macro and micro level and also to have control at all times.”
Following a competitive selection process, Adolfo Dominguez chose Centric Software as a PLM partner.
As de la Lastra says, “We opted for Centric because of the confidence they gave us as fashion PLM specialists. Centric’s connection with our reality is guaranteed. We did not want to develop our own system that was just limited to our current needs – we wanted a platform based on the best practices of the sector that will grow with us in the future.”
“We wanted our solution to be as intuitive as possible, an integrated and friendly environment both in configuration and in everyday use,” she continues. “Centric was the clear winner in that regard.”
“This project will help us to improve all our processes and eliminateunnecessary and duplicated tasks – in short, to be more efficient and impactful. The first step will be to analyze and synthesize each part of our operations so we can gain greater efficiency in terms of time and resources. When we have satisfactorily achieved the first stage of PLM implementation, we’ll continue to add modules that support different aspects of our work. This is just the beginning.”
“We are very happy to welcome our latest partner in Spain, Adolfo Dominguez,” says Chris Groves, President and CEO of Centric Software. “Adolfo Dominguez and Centric are both known for groundbreaking innovations. We are proud to partner with them using digital transformation initiatives to streamline operations and drive growth.”
