Centric Software unveils upcoming innovations at IT4Fashion

LOS GATOS, Calif., April 21, 2016  Centric Software, the leading PLM for fashion, retail, luxury and consumer goods companies, continues to break down the boundaries of traditional PLM.

Centric Software announced major innovations and key breakthrough tools for leading industry players to create more value at IT4Fashion. IT4Fashion is an annual conference where fashion companies, academics and software houses from all over Europe meet to discuss IT technologies in the fashion and luxury industry.

Consumer behavior has irreversibly changed over the past 5 years and so has the way companies create, develop and bring products to market.

“Over the past several years, the footprint of PLM for fashion, apparel and footwear has been radically evolving. PLM enters a new phase of maturity where strategic benefits such as agility, flexibility and transparency can be achieved with a mix of mobility, new technologies and non-traditional thinking,” explains Chris Groves, president and CEO of Centric Software.

At IT4Fashion, the Centric team, Humberto Roa, VP of Innovation at Centric Software and Anastasia Charbin, VP Marketing – New markets, discussed the opportunities of extending the value proposition beyond traditional PLM with a strategy based on innovation, mobility and leveraging the cloud.

“PLM has evolved and modern PLM now results in more than gaining in efficiency. It is being used to lay the foundation for operational models centered around flexibility, agility and speed to market,” explains Roa.

Centric announced a new Centric Bridge Service adapter which will allow companies to use Centric Mobile Apps with ERP or other enterprise systems, including non-Centric PLM solutions, paving the way for the market to take advantage of mobility regardless of platform.

Centric continues its cloud innovation and announced Centric’s upcoming cloud native system which will soon be available in one click, with self service registration.

Centric’s Field Testing mobile app, due out in early June, will help companies leverage product wear testing results for clothing and hard goods. Charbin elaborates, “Centric Software was the first to bring mobile apps for PLM to market, introducing unprecedented agility and real-time reactivity without being chained to a desk and  helping capture information that would otherwise be lost. Centric’s new Field Testing App is one example of how capturing data live, in the moment, is an incredibly valuable and natural way of working.”

Centric has always been an innovation leader and we will continue to disrupt the marketplace by extending our value proposition beyond traditional PLM. Our goal is to create powerful new ways of working to enable brands, retailers and manufacturers to become closer to their customers, create better products and grow,” says Chris Groves, president and CEO of Centric Software.
