Catch up on the speeches from Tally Weijl and Mustang Jeans following our Munich seminar

Europe | 2 December, 2015

During the afternoon of December 2nd we hosted our Partnerships, People and Processes event, in Munich, along with our guest speakers; Anett Wettstein, Technical Director at TALLY WEiJL and Julia Dubowy, Director of Operations at MUSTANG JEANS.

Wettstein and Dubowy’s provided unique perspectives on the role that technology and collaborative innovation play in today’s product lifecycle.

If you missed it, here is a quick recap of their speeches:

Tally Weijl: A Matter of Time

Tally Weijl decided to adopt Centric 8, to achieve greater speed and efficiency in developing products that are always market-right, and stay ahead of the competition in the fast-fashion environment. They started the implementation with designers. “People in the design team are creative. They have their own ways of working, sketching with a pencil, working directly in Illustrator. Centric allows them to share their creativity with the rest of the team,” says Annet Wettstein, Technical Director.

Technical and quality teams came next. As they are more analytical in nature and used many, many excel spreadsheets, they adapted easily and the system is now running smoothly. “It now takes half as much time to get our notes to suppliers following a fit session.”

Mustang Jeans: Mutual Trust and Innovation

Mustang, a leading jeans brands in Europe, was Centric’s first customer in Germany. Top on the list of the reasons why Mustang chose Centric was that Centric knows fashion. “They knew what a ‘colorways” and ‘grading’ are.” Other reasons included templates to make work faster. Last on the list and “equally as important” was: chemistry. “The teams fit well together and continue to work well together now, long after after go-live.
